  • Halle Bailey's "Because I Love You" Single and Music Video

Hey Readers! Halle Bailey returns with her second single of 2024, "Because I Love You", a seductive track paired with a wild and captivating music video. The song is produced by frequent collaborator Dem Jointz, famously known for his work with Chris Brown, Anderson .Paak, and Rihanna. Bailey showcases her versatility, seamlessly blending rapping and singing over a driving instrumental. The music video takes an unexpected turn, beginning as a steamy love triangle exploration before escalating into a confrontation between the love interest and a multitude of Halle Bailey clones. This is precisely what I anticipated. It's what I would describe as a harmonious fusion of Kelis and Brandy's eclectic and soulful sound. A very progressive R&B experience with a slight, resonating tone of eeriness. Does that make sense?! The song is perfectly paired with a classic, thriller-esque visual where she looks absolutely stunning. I couldnt ask for more. Bravo, Halle! Get into the visuals below: (Screenshots via Youtube)

  • Kehlani's 'While We Wait 2' Mixtape: A Soulful Exploration of Love, Longing, and Liberation + MY TOP5!

Hey Readers! NEW Kehlani! *in my Missy Elliott voice* R&B sensation Kehlani is back with her brand-new mixtape, "While We Wait 2"! You may be thinking, "Didn't we just get a new album from Kehlani?" And you're right! "While We Wait 2" arrives hot on the heels of her June release, "Crash". This exciting new project features the lead single "When He's Not There", a collaboration with Lucky Daye. Other standout tracks include features from Lil Mo and Vince Staples, Kwn, Destin Conrad and childofnines, Dixson, FLO, and Ludmilla, who teams up with Kehlani for a remix of "After Hours". I'm seriously impressed - it's like she's taken her sound to a whole new level! You can totally hear the Brandy influence throughout, and I love it. The production is top-notch, and the storytelling is everyhting. If I'm being picky, there are a few moments where her vocals feel a bit misplaced, but honestly, it's not a big deal. It's actually kind of cool, because it adds this raw, rock-inspired edge to her vocal performance. It's like she's intentionally pushing the boundaries, and it makes the whole thing feel more real and emotional. Overall, I'm loving this new direction Kehlani's heading in. She's always been talented, but this latest release feels like a game-changer. I'm curious about the inspiration behind the mixtape. Was this a collection of leftover tracks from the 'CRASH' era, or was there a specific message she wanted to convey? I'm wondering if there was a particular point she aimed to prove with this release. I'd love some clarification on why she chose to drop a mixtape so soon after her album. Was it a creative overflow, or a strategic move? I'm eager to understand why. Anyway, below are five tracks from the mixtape that I deem top tier, listed without any specific ranking. Feel free to share your thoughts - do you agree with my choices? Don't forget to share your own top five tracks in the comments section! I'm eager to hear your opinions and see if we have similar tastes. 8 Right off the bat, the chorus of this song remnds me of Ashanti's "Leaving (Always on Time, Part II)" for some reason. Do you hear it? Anyway, this song is nasty and I love it. The girls are clearly craving physical connection and pleasure, using food and dessert as metaphors for their desires. FLO's Stella shines on this one. Slow Dance A romantic slow jam that captures the essence of intimate connection. With its seductive beats and playful lyrics, this soulful ballad takes you on a journey of desire, vulnerability, and emotional connection. Perfect for a night in with your loved one. Border This song embodies the quintessential Brandy, particularly in its vocal production of the chorus. Notably, the lyrics "And maybe everyone here would call me crazy, And then you'd tell 'em it's the borderline" I'm going to assume pay homage to Brandy's "B7" single, "Borderline". This heartfelt ballad masterfully conveys the struggle of confronting inner demons and finding solace in darkness, through its poignant lyrics and soaring melodies, ultimately capturing the anguish of emotional turmoil and the yearning for escape and redemption. S.I.N.G.L.E I consider this to be one of my favorite tracks from the mixtape. It's a poignant ballad that masterfully portrays a toxic relationship teetering on the edge of collapse. The song skillfully conveys the anguish of feeling disregarded and the deep yearning for unconditional love. However, as the chorus resonates with the haunting refrain "I'm never gonna love ever again", it becomes evident that it's time to move on. When He’s Not There Arguably the standout track on the mixtape, this sultry ballad is a masterful portrayal of forbidden love and hidden desires. Kehlani's emotive vocals skillfully narrate a tale of a secret affair, where two women succumb to their passion in secret. SCANDALOUS! When she sings, "Know you're missin' your favourite seat,"((SCREAMS)) this is hypothetical, right Kehlani!?👀 The addition of Lucky Daye's smooth verse injects a new level of yearning, making this an intimate anthem that perfectly encapsulates the thrill of secret encounters and the unspoken emotions. • Reunion Ready: The Best and Worst Looks from RHODubai Season 2!

Hey, Readers! The wait is finally over, and the Season 2 reunion looks of The Real Housewives of Dubai have arrived! Hosted by Andy Cohen, let's see if the reunion was a fashion extravaganza, as they love to claim it is. Each of the 'Wives - Chanel Ayan, Caroline Brooks, Lesa Milan, Sara Al Madani, Caroline Stanbury, and newbie Taleen Marie - is present for the closing number, and with a red-themed aesthetic, they put their best fashion foot forward, showcasing their unique styles and personalities. Part 1 of the Season 2 reunion is said to air on September 10th, one week after the finale episode, which airs on September 3rd(US). All of the looks are listed below with their styling details, careof bravotv.com , and a rating out of 10 based on the overall look. Without further do, here are the Season 2 Reunion looks for The Real Housewives of Dubai. Caroline Brooks Dress: Sherri Hill Jewellery: Giuseppe Zanotti Hair: Elizabeth Semande Makeup: Ashley Stewart Stylist: Ozzy Shah Although the dress is gorgeous, it's giving... meh! She may be attempting to create a contrasting look from the first reunion, but I suspect this dress wasn't her first option. The hairstyle also seems mismatched, as if it was intended for a different overall aesthetic. In my opinion, a sleek updo paired with bold earrings would have added the necessary depth and elevation to this look. Nevertheless, it's not a bad attempt. Caroline's face undoubtedly saves this ensemble, carrying the entire look. 5/10. Caroline Stanbury Dress: Ali Karoui Shoes: Ferragamo Jewellery: ANTON Jewellery Hair: Ryan Austin Hair extensions: Fox and Vamp Makeup: Joel Vasquez This is a classic and on-brand look for Stanbury, who consistently delivers timeless and elegant ensembles, only to add an accessory that feels utterly unnecessary. At least she's consistent in this approach. This time, it's the drop earrings that should have been swapped out for some bold studs, which would have elevated the overall look. Its a 7/10 for me. Sara Al Madani Dress: Drenusha Xharra; Shoes: Yves Saint Laurent; Jewellery: Kismet by Milka Hair: Julius Michael Makeup: Priscilla DiStasio I have mixed feelings about this look - I both love and hate it equally. While it's undoubtedly a statement-making ensemble, I'm unsure if it's suitable for a Housewives reunion. However, if you were to modify the dress by keeping the corseted top and replacing the bottom with tailored wide-legged trousers, you'd have a stunning look perfect for Kehlani at the Grammys. In its current state, I feel that the hair and necklace detract from the classic and timeless beauty of the gown—another 7/10. Chanel Ayan Dress: Michael Cinco Shoes: Christian Louboutin Hair: Shanice Fields Makeup: Toni Malt, who used Ayan Beauty products for the look. Ms. Ayan rarely disappoints, and this look is quintessentially Chanel - exactly what we've come to expect from her. My only wish is that she had kept her black hair, as it would have added a striking contrast and depth to the overall ensemble, particularly against the bold red tones. The dark hair would have elevated the look and created a stunning visual juxtaposition. 8/10 for me. Lesa Milan Dress: Valdrin Sahiti Shoes: Gianvito Rossi Hair: Stitchie Makeup: Rebecca Stylist: Shenell Welch Lesa Milan deserves a standing ovation for this exceptional look! From head to toe, it's flawless - there's nothing I would change. Lesa and her team have truly outdone themselves, masterfully executing a modern twist on a classic silhouette. The bold, red metallic sheen adds an over-the-top touch, while the understated hair and accessories beautifully balance it out, bringing the overall look back down to earth. Without a doubt, Lesa is the best-dressed by far. 10/10. Taleen Marie Dress: Rminé Shoes: Christian Louboutin Jewellery: Oscar de la Renta Hair: Lina Kidis Makeup: Courtney Kearns Stylist: Laurie Kalbian Just... no. Unfortunately, apart from the understated jewelry choices and shoes, the rest of the look falls short. It's a shame, given her amazing figure and adorable face, which wouldn't require much to look polished. The dress, however, comes across as either too juvenile or a misguided throwback. Additionally, the hair appears to be styled with minimal effort, which further detracts from the overall look. It's like she doesn't care. And if you don't care, then I don't either. It's a 4/10 for me.

  • FLO Perform Live on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Live Lounge - 'Check' + 'The Boy Is Mine' Cover!

FLO recently appeared on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Live Lounge, performing their latest single "Check" and a cover of "The Boy Is Mine". To celebrate the announcement of their debut album "Access All Areas", set for release on November 15 in the UK, Jorja, Stella, and Renée stopped by BBC Radio 1Xtra for a special performance. The trio treated listeners to a live rendition of their single "Check", as well as a cover of the classic hit "The Boy Is Mine", blending elements from both Ariana Grande's and Brandy and Monica's iconic versions. When I heard that they covered Ariana's remix of 'The Boy Is Mine', I thought to myself: this could mean one of two things. Either the effort to get Ariana, Brandy, and Monica to perform at this year's VMAs was unsuccessful, or this is a strategic move to create buzz ahead of a surprise performance at the VMAs. Here's hoping for the latter. Anyway, One thing I always look forward to in a FLO performance is Jorja's incredible adlibs - and she never disappoints! Stella and Renée equally impress with their talents. I'm thoroughly enjoying the growth in their vocals and overall sound. If I'm being picky, the band was occasionally a bit too loud, overpowering some of the sweet vocal moments FLO likes to sneak in. Nevertheless, their energy and talent shine through brilliantly. The girls truly look and sound amazing, and I'm eagerly anticipating what they have in store for us with their debut album "Access All Areas". Get into both performance below: (Screenshot/Picture via Youtube/X)

So shout out to JKING and Young Go for crafting this into the most beautiful masterpiece. It is probably the first song I’ve ever played on repeat. It played me to sleep. I had it on repeat 30 times when I was in Australia the night I recreated it and I’m just so proud of it. It’s the way it feels, the way you gravitate toward it instantly when you hear the guitar licks in the beginning. The feeling there is we all have a different angle on how we approach love. • Jordin Sparks Makes a Triumphant Return with 'Remember'

Jordin Sparks is back with a brand new single, "Remember"! This latest track is a nostalgic nod to the good ol' days of a relationship that's starting to lose its spark (pun intended). You might recognize the catchy beat - "Remember" samples the King of Pop's iconic hit "Remember The Time". Jordin puts her own spin on the classic, using it as the perfect backdrop to reminisce about the good times in a relationship that's starting to fray. It's a beautiful thing to hear Jordin Sparks' voice again, and the timing couldn't be more perfect! She's one of those rare talents who needs nothing more than a stage and a mic to work her magic. And let's be real, the current R&B scene could use a spark (pun intended) like her.(OK ok, I'll stop) The use of Michael Jackson's "Remember The Time" sample is pure perfection. It's done in a way that feels organic and authentic, avoiding any corniness or forced nostalgia. A testament to Jordin's skill and artistry that she can take a legendary sample and make it her own. Shout out to 300cam and Dem Jointz. "Remember" has undoubtedly secured a spot on my playlist and offers a tantalizing glimpse into Jordin's forthcoming album, No Restrictions , set to release on September 13, 2024. With her soulful voice and the song's infectious beat, it's an absolute must-listen. Welcome back, Jordin Sparks - we've missed you! (Pictures via Instagram/JordinSparks)

Coco's calling it a "bop", and I couldn't agree more! 'Sweep It Up' is all about those conflicting feelings when you're being played with in a relationship. Coco's consistently bringing the heat, and I am so grateful for her commitment to quality. She never disappoints! I'm loving that Coco switched it up and gave us an up-tempo bop! • Chlöe's 'Trouble in Paradise' Arrives: My Top 5 Standout Tracks

Chlöe has unveiled her highly anticipated sophomore album, 'Trouble in Paradise', released through Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. In an interview with Nylon, Chlöe revealed that the album, largely recorded in Saint Lucia, is a 'coming-of-age celebration of womanhood and carefree living, embracing a lighthearted approach to life.' The 16-track album is preceded by the singles 'FYS' and 'Boy Bye', and boasts an impressive lineup of collaborations, featuring her sister Halle Bailey, as well as notable artists Ty Dolla $ign, Anderson .Paak, Jeremih, and YG Marley. Via HelloBeautiful : Trouble in Paradise was recorded and mastered in St. Lucia. “I can walk around with no makeup, I can walk around loving my body, I can go to the ocean, truly just pray to God and thank Him for the blessings that I have. And it reminds me that life isn’t all about what my career is. It’s not about outer validation, but the inner peace,” she told the publication. “I just really wanted people to feel the peace and the love that this place has brought me, where it was able to open up my creative mind and my creative spirit to literally write my troubles away in paradise. And the album feels like what a summer fling feels like, the back and forth of it, the highs, the lows, the love.” After a week of listening... Chlöe is bringing the pop heat this time around, but I think she's still clinging to her slow-burn, minimalist roots, which I believe are quietly holding her back from total domination. Her voice is undeniable - but, girl, two albums in and we're still searching for a signature sound? Chlöe's got the magic, and maybe this album is just a stepping stone to finding it. Whatever it is, I hope she unlocks it ASAP! I was expecting more from this album. Lets get into my top 5 picks from 'Trouble in Paradise'. Let me know your favorite tracks in the comments. TOP5 Favorite This track screams Beyoncé, especially when Chlöe taps into her sultry lower register. The synergy between Chlöe and Anderson .Paak is undeniable, and the music is quintessentially .Paak - a masterful fusion of their artistic voices. Want Me 'Want Me' is straight fire, the real MVP! This sultry, soulful ballad featuring sis Halle is a harmonious masterpiece, with their voices blendin' like a perfectly mixed cocktail. It's got just the right amount of drama and soul to remind us why these siblings are the ultimate duo. Same Lingerie This song's got the same sauce as "FYS" and "Nice Girls Finish Last", but "Same Lingerie" is my pick. The storytelling's more impactful, and feels a lot more authentic, and therefore resonates. Like the intoxicating aroma of his skin, left behind on your sheets, a sensual reminder of his touch, a fragrance that teases and tantalizes, long after he's left your bed. OK, lemme stop. Redemption This song is the epitome of Amapiano and Afro-Pop perfection! It's a radio-friendly smash that's tailor-made for the times. This deserves to be a single, pronto! And a Tyla remix? That would be the icing on the cake - it'd be a game-changer! Boy Bye Hands down, this track is one of my top picks from Chlöe's solo collection! The vibe feels so much more authentic to her artistic vision - it's like a breath of fresh air, serving up ethereal, free-spirited R&B goodness. And let's be real, a good breakup anthem is always a winner. This one's a clear standout for me. (Pictures via Parkwod Entertainment/Columbia Records)
