  • Ariana Grande - The Boy Is Mine RMX ft. Brandy x Monica

Ariana Grande's "The Boy is Mine" has been given a remix and we can hardly wait to hit play! After the release of the official music video starring Brandy and Monica, Ariana Grande shared the news of an upcoming remix of the track that will feature the iconic artists. Via Instagram : i ……… cannot believe this is real (i don’t know if i will even long after it’s out) my deepest and sincerest thank you to Brandy and Monica, not only for joining me for this moment, but for your generosity, your kindness, and for the countless ways in which you have inspired me. it is near impossible to say how much this means to me. this is in celebration of you both and the impact that you have had on every vocalist, vocal producer, musician, artist that is creating today. i loooooove you both so so much. thank you !!!!!!! This is the day the Lord has made, so without further ado, here is "The Boy Is Mine" remix by Ariana Grande featuring Brandy and Monica. I absolutely love this remix. The vocal performance by all the artists is exceptional. My favorite part is definitely after the bridge, where all three showcase a large number of adlibs and riffs without it sounding like it's too much. Brandy's lower register always tugs at my heartstrings. I couldn't help but notice that her head voice still sounds airier than usual. I remember her mentioning in a TrueExclusives interview related to her Christmas Album that her head voice wasn't all there. However, that doesn't seem to slow her down, and it shows in some of her vocal choices throughout the song—they're out of this world🙌. Monica's signature vocal stylings added a lot of character to her verse, which I also thoroughly enjoyed. Monica's verse is definitely my favorite. Did y'all catch the tea!? "Said he wanna make plans with me, but I don't f*ck with affairs, you see / But listen what they say to me, If it ain't broke, then it can't be broken / Well, he better sort out his business, 'cause I'll never be nobody's mistress" The aunties came to bat for Ariana! But baby, the fact that Brandy still ends the song is EVERYTHING! How did you feel about the remix? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

  • Charli XCX - Girl, So Confusing ft. Lorde

Charli XCX and Lorde have put an end to rumors of a feud with the release of "the girl, so confusing version with Lorde." The song's original version is about another female pop star who Charli has been compared to. Some fans believed she was singing about Lorde because the two have often been pitted against each other. Well, the ladies decided to set the internet ablaze with the announcement of the remix featuring Lorde herself. Get into the track below: I really love the song. It's an epic way to settle the dust, so to speak. The moment when they both sing they ride for each other feels like everything has come full circle. I remember Charli recently talking about feeling jealous of Lorde after the success of “Royals.” She even revealed that she almost dressed up as her for Halloween one year. Eek! Are you feelin' this collab? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Nigerian Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has just unveiled the visually captivating music video for her hit single "Commona," which features the talented artists Olamide and Mystro Sugar. "Commona," produced by Blaise Beatz, beautifully showcases Savage's velvety vocals set against a mid-tempo, fuji-inspired beat.
